Jolly Roger Amusement Park

Ocean City’s premier amusement park, Jolly Roger Amusement Park, began over 50 years ago when Charles “Buddy” Jenkins met the then-reigning king of golf, Arnold Palmer. In July 1964, Jenkins purchased a franchise and opened the Arnold Palmer Putting Course and Driving Range. The following year, Jenkins constructed 10 amusement rides on the property, which would soon become Jolly Roger Amusement Park. More than half a century later, Jolly Roger Amusement Park is as fun as ever, comprised of not only the amusement park but also Speedworld, one of the largest go-kart facilities on the East Coast with 10 tracks of high-speed fun, and Splash Mountain Water Park, with over 15 slides for everyone to enjoy.

Jolly Roger Amusement Park offers more than a dozen rides and attractions for visitors of all ages. The park’s lineup of rides includes a couple of thrilling roller coasters, a giant Ferris wheel, and a log flume ride that’s a great way to cool off on a hot summer day. Additional rides at Jolly Roger Amusement Park are an antique miniature train ride from 1952 and several kiddie rides for young children.
