Duluth Entertainment Convention Center – Things To Do With Your Team

The Duluth Entertainment Convention Center is a multipurpose facility. Two of the sections are primarily used for hockey games. One of which has been the home rink for the University of Minnesota Duluth hockey team since 1966. The convention center portion joined the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center facility a few decades later. While the complex is impressive, the City of Duluth can provide you with a lot more fun than a convention center ever could. Go on an exhilarating adventure and discover all of the fun activities you can do with your team.

Things to Do

Adventure Zone

Not even a 10-minute walk from the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center sits Adventure Zone. Your team will jump at the chance to visit this kid’s paradise. Packed with all kinds of entertainment options, Adventure Zone could be an all-day activity if you have enough time. Play a variety of laser tag games in their multi-level arena. Remember to make reservations if you intend on doing laser tag with your team. You must be seven years or older to play.

After playing a few rounds of laser tag, check out the arcade. There are over 60 games available to play. Favorites like Dance Dance Revolution, Deal or No Deal, and The Price is Right will entertain the whole team. Other game genres like racing and shooting games help round out the diverse selection. From there, do a little sightseeing at Adventure Zone’s Duluth themed mini golf course. You can get an idea of what the popular landmarks of the city are while playing a rousing round of mini golf. If you have any younger kids traveling with you, they will love the inflatable area known as Kid’s Cove. Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge

Possibly Duluth’s most well-known landmark, the Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge, is situated a stone’s throw away from the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. Completed in 1905, this bridge is the city’s oldest structural landmark. You never have seen a bridge like this before. Instead of the standard drawbridge design, the entire bridge rises to create an opening of up to 180 feet so ships can pass under it. Witnessing the bridge in action is exciting enough. However, you should take a walk across it when it’s down. The fresh air and views of the two nearby lighthouses make the walk more than worth it. You can purchase souvenirs from the gift shop from either you or your family and friends back home. Go back at night for a view of the bridge while it’s all lit up. 601 S Lake Ave, Duluth, MN 55802

Zero Hour Escape Rooms

Give your body a break and your mind a workout at Zero Hour Escape Rooms. Duluth’s premiere escape room provides three choices for your team. One of which is only allowed for customers 17 and older though. If your group doesn’t fit that description, the other two rooms will be plenty of fun. In the first room, Prison Break, you are guilty of stealing the UMD Bulldogs’ NCAA National Championship trophy. The city is livid and wants to see you meet your end. Your only chance is to escape the jail. The other room, The Wheelhouse, puts you in the middle of a sinking ship. You must get to the lifeboats and board them before the ship goes under. 5 W 1st St, Duluth, MN 55802
