Well folks, that’s probably a wrap on the Warriors-Rockets series. I thought at the start of it that the Warriors would win in six games, but after that game 3, it could be sooner. Golden State fans went from feeling anxious to gearing up for the Warrior’s fourth NBA Finals appearance in four years. What caused this monumental shift? The answer is Stephen Curry. He’s back ladies and gentlemen. If there were any doubts about Curry’s performance coming back from an MCL sprain, they’ve vanished after last night. Stephen Curry is back and the Rocket’s chances to win the series are seemingly over.

Check out his electric third quarter.

Curry’s disappointing performances were the only thing realistically keeping the Rocket’s hopes alive. If he keeps playing like he did last night, Houston has no shot. The Rockets suffered their worst playoff loss in franchise history, losing by 41 points.

After struggling in the first half of game 3, Stephen Curry found his groove, and shimmy, in the third quarter. After a couple flashy layups, his shot started falling and he was back to raining three’s from all over the court. He was the game’s leading scorer with 35 points, shooting 5-12 from three point range. Curry also tallied six rebounds, one assist, and one block.

With Curry shooting lights out like usual, the Warriors are in the driver’s seat. It’s just impossible to beat this team four out of seven games. Kevin Durant is unguardable, Klay Thompson is just as deadly from three as Curry when he has it going, and Draymond Green continues to bring his defensive ferocity every game. This year’s Houston Rockets team was specifically designed to beat the Warriors. The trio of James Harden, Chris Paul, and Clint Capela has been causing headaches for every team they faced. But when push comes to shove, Stephen Curry will keep on shimmying and the rest of the Warriors will do what they do best: win games.
