Silverlakes Sports Complex

Our top sports complex in California takes us to 5555 Hamner Avenue in Norco, home of the Silver Lakes Sports Complex. This absolutely gorgeous facility encompasses 130 acres of land and plays host to multiple sports tournaments, equestrian, weddings, corporate events, concerts, car shows, and 5K’s just to name a few. Silverlakes includes 24 full-size soccer fields, 4 LED lit Synthetic fields, 5 equestrian arenas, horse stalls for up to 1,500 horses, a 12,000 square foot outdoor café, and a 10,000 person concert venue called The Backyard. On top of opening a 250 seat restaurant with outdoor patio this summer, there are future plans to build an indoor facility and a 5,000 seat capacity lit stadium field. The goal of Silverlakes was to provide the ultimate fan experience, including family fun and entertainment while serving the youth soccer community and both amateur and professional equestrians. This facility is absolutely breath taking with fantastic views, finely manicured facilities, great eats, and concerts all packed into one place!

 

SoCal Sports Complex

Located in Oceanside, California, the SoCal Sports Complex rests on 97 acres of land and is well known as one of the premier venues for soccer, lacrosse, and rugby on the West Coast. The complex is made up of 21 full-size multi-sport fields which host multiple sports tournaments throughout the year, with possibly the biggest being the 3 tournament series known as the San Diego Surf Cup. One of the coolest features of this sports complex besides the pristine fields and ability to host extremely large events is the fact that the complex creates a custom food court for each tournament that includes both local vendors and food trucks! The complex even allows you to bring your own refreshments!  The massive size of this complex combined with the finely manicured fields and ideal travel location between Los Angeles and San Diego are the main reasons why SoCal Sports Complex finds itself near the top of our list.

 

American Sports Centers-Anaheim

Touting itself as the largest indoor court facility in the world, American Sports Centers-Anaheim located just east of Disney land is home to 34 volleyball courts, which can be converted into 25 basketball courts or 9 indoor soccer or futsal courts. This massive facility covers 242,000 square feet and houses the United States Men’s and Women’s Volleyball teams, the Southern California Volleyball Association, the So. Cal. Indoor Volleyball Hall Of Fame, Open Gym Premier Basketball Academy and Tournaments, Double Pump NCAA Basketball Events, SGV Basketball Tournaments, the Queen’s Court High School Volleyball Tournament and an quickly increasing number of local basketball, volleyball, and futsal leagues. This state of the art facility also features a full service Sidelines Grill, a Sidelines Café, and a smoothie/coffee bar for long days of tournament play. American Sports Centers also opened a second location in Avondale, Arizona, though much smaller with 83,000 square feet, and are constantly looking for other areas of expansion given its success in Anaheim.

 

Twin Creeks Sports Complex

Our next sports complex takes us to Sunnyvale, California and the Twin Creeks Sports Complex. This multi-use facility includes 10 synthetic turf fields and houses baseball, soccer, softball, and football tournaments and leagues. True, a 10 field complex is smaller than most of the other complexes on this list, but it compensates for its lack of size with versatility. All 10 fields pre-lined for flag football, lacrosse, soccer, and softball and can be easily converted to baseball as well. Each field is lighted as well which is a huge bonus for tournament and league play, along with a restaurant and sports bar with plenty of food drink and televisions for an ideal sports atmosphere. Twin Creek Sports Complex boasts that they are home to the best adult leagues in the Bay Area, taking a look at this beautiful versatile complex, it’s easy to see why.

 

Next Level Sports Complex Orange County

Our number 5 spot takes us to Garden Grove, California and the Next Level Sports Complex Orange County. This indoor facility focuses on weight training, basketball, volleyball and soccer. Next Level Sports features 11 hardwood basketball courts which can be converted into 14 volleyball courts, 4 turf fields for soccer, a weight training area, meeting and party rooms, free Wi-Fi and big screen televisions throughout. This complex hosts tournaments, adult and youth leagues, sports camps, clinics, and provides a great indoor practice space for club and travel teams as well. Just 15 miles from Long Beach, this facility is in an ideal location to many great destinations if sitting watching tournaments all day just isn’t for you! Davis Legacy Soccer Complex

Let’s head due north, up the road to the Sacramento area for our number 6 location, the Davis Legacy Soccer Complex. Located in Davis, California, this 16 field complex is the home of the Davis Legacy Soccer Club. Having 16 fields in one location make this destination an ideal fit for running any large soccer tournament. Davis plays host to local, state, and national level tournaments while being in a great location to enjoy one of the few remaining college towns. The fields are finely manicured and run year in the beautiful California weather. This facility is a no frills destination with soccer being the main priority. Without some of the bells and whistles of newer complexes, Davis still finds itself in our top 10 due to the number of tournaments it hosts as well as being a great travel destination being so close to the city of Sacramento.

 

Mather Sports Center

Sticking around the greater Sacramento area, we find another multi-use sports complex with fun for the whole family, the Mather Sports Center.  Located in Mather, California this complex features a plaza-style skate park, a full fitness center, 1 turf baseball field, 3 lighted turf baseball/softball/soccer fields, 2 lighted soccer fields, 1 indoor basketball gym, 3 outdoor basketball courts, 3 indoor racquetball courts, and a playground for the little ones. All facilities are able to be rented for practice or games for league or recreation activities. The Mather Sports Center operates more on the local and regional level, but it is a beautiful, well maintained park that includes activities for anyone attending.

 

Hal Bartholomew Sports Park

Continuing our sports journey near the greater Sacramento area, our next stop takes us to another great sports complex, Hal Bartholomew Sports park, located in Elk Grove. This park, completed in 2010, spans across 46 acres and includes 1 lighted baseball field, 4 lighted multi-purpose fields, 2 playgrounds, shaded picnic areas, 3 lighted softball/youth baseball fields, and 4 lighted tennis courts. This newer state of the art complex hosts multiple tournaments and league action across multiple sports that include, baseball, softball, soccer, football and tennis just to name a few. The 4 lighted multi-purpose fields also provide great accommodations for a multitude of sports and activities.

 

The Map Sports Facility

Located in Garden Grove, our number 9 location takes us to The Map Sports Facility. This 65,000 square foot facility prides itself on having plenty of space available for any indoor activity. This location has 8 courts which can be used for basketball, volleyball and soccer with a focus on recreational adult and youth leagues for multiple sports as well as camps and tournaments. Club O.C. Volleyball Academy, OC Pride, Kaba Hoops, Real Run Basketball, RSP Basketball, and Hawks Hoops are just a few of the clubs that call this facility home. One of the coolest features about this complex is the raised courts made of second grade maple which provide a first class surface for the multiple sports it hosts.

 

Patricia H Birdsall Sports Park

Our final destination in our top 10 takes us to Temecula, California for the Patricia H Birdsall Sports Park. This quaint little complex rests on 44 acres of land and includes 4 baseball/softball fields, 4 soccer/multi-sport fields and 4 outdoor basketball courts. It also includes multiple picnic areas and BBQ areas as well. All fields at this complex are lighted which is ideal given the number of baseball, softball, and soccer tournaments that take place here. The versatility of a smaller complex and the overwhelmingly positive reviews online are the main reason this site finds itself in our top 10!
