Bismarck – Things to do with your Team

Bismarck is an important city for a lot of reasons. First of all, it’s the capital of North Dakota. Second, it’s an economic center for both North and South Dakota. Third, it’s where you and your team are headed on your next trip! You’ll find a variety of fun, kid-friendly attractions and sights to see. Because of the city’s natural beauty, outdoor attractions in Bismarck like the McDowell Dam Recreation Area and Keelboat Park are a definite must-see during your stay. However, if the weather misses the mark while you’re in Bismarck there’s no need to worry; there are plenty of exciting indoor attractions as well.

Dakota Zoo

The Dakota Zoo was founded in 1961 by Marc and Betty Christianson on the site of their 67-acre farm. The zoo opened its gates on June 3 of that year on only 15 acres of land. It was home to just 75 mammals and 23 birds, quite a big difference from how many animals you and your team will find there today. Now the Dakota Zoo houses over 600 animals, birds, reptiles, and fish representing 125 species at their expanded, 90-acre facility. The zoo also features a train ride, a children’s play area, concession stands, and the Antler Trading Post, where you and your team can pick up the perfect “zoovenir” to commemorate your visit. 600 Riverside Park Rd, Bismarck, ND 58504
