Ride on a Swan Boat

You can’t go to Boston and miss a ride on a swan boat. Since 1877, residents and visitors have enjoyed leisurely excursions on the Public Garden Lagoon in the most unique boats in the world. Swan boats are constructed on pontoons, each about 30 feet long and weighing 800 pounds, and feature large fiberglass swans in back, hence the name. The driver sits on a tractor seat up front and pedals the boat through the lagoon. Swan boat rides run April 15 through September 10, and they operate every day.
