The Hardin Planetarium at Western Kentucky University offers free public shows about astronomy, space exploration, history, and more every Tuesday and Thursday evening and every Sunday afternoon. Special shows for school groups and private parties can also be arranged. Historic Railpark & Train Museum

This historic 1925 structure has been restored and revived to house the Historic Railpark & Train Museum. Housing one of the region’s largest model railroad displays inside, outside is where the Historic Railpark currently displays seven restored cars for touring including an E8A Diesel Locomotive, a 1911 L&N Presidential Office Car, a 1949 Pullman diner, a 1953 Luxury Pullman Sleeper, and a 1921 Railway Post Office Car. Lost River Cave

Aviation Heritage Park

Aviation Heritage Park is a memorial to all of the distinguished aviators who have called south central Kentucky home. These include one of the first pilots to fly in combat, a World War I flying ace, a pioneer instructor pilot, a Vietnam War hero, commanders of the famed Air Force Thunderbirds and Navy Blue Angels, and many more. Aviation Heritage Park currently features five restored military aircraft, each with their own compelling stories and ties to local aviators.
