Topiary Park

Visitors from all around the world come to Topiary Park to gaze in wonder at its giant living works of art, including 54 human figures, eight boats, some dogs, a cat, and a monkey. These larger-than-life sculptures; some as tall as 12 feet; make up a three-dimensional interpretation of the famous Seurat painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Isle of La Grand Jatte.

ZipZone Outdoor Adventures

Minutes from the center of Columbus is ZipZone Outdoor Adventures, where you can tour the treetops on 20 acres of forested land.

On the two-hour Canopy Tour you’ll cross towering sky bridges and zip from platform to platform high over the ground, where you get a glorious bird’s eye view of the streams and ravines below.

The shorter Zip Rush Tour includes a turn on the QUICKjump free fall experience or a shot at rappelling down from great heights.

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

German Village

German Village is a historic neighborhood just south of downtown Columbus, Ohio. Initially platted in 1814 in Columbus’s South End, the German Village area primarily developed between 1840 and 1914. It was settled largely by German immigrants in the mid-1800s.

Scioto Mile

In the heart of downtown Columbus is the Scioto Mile, an urban oasis on 175 acres of park land.

Climb the country’s largest free outdoor climbing wall, and run or walk along the Lower River Walk for breathtaking views of the city skyline and the river.

If it’s hotter than blazes, shimmy into your swimsuit and dive into the clear, cool waters at Zoombezi Bay, a 20-plus acre water park located at the Columbus Zoo featuring 17 state-of-the-art water slides, a rockin’ wave pool, and 1,500-foot Roaring Rapids ride with its own wave generator and spectacular waterfalls.

The newest addition to the park is SoundSurfer, a five-person raft ride alight with LEDs and outfitted with speakers to offer you a sonic experience as you take on 512 feet of curves, loops, and drops until you finally plunge into the pool below.
