Places to Eat

4 Rivers Smokehouse

The origins of 4 Rivers Smokehouse can be traced back to the launch of the “Barbecue Ministry” in 2004. That was when the restaurant’s owner hosted a cookout to help raise money for a local family whose young daughter was battling cancer. This one cookout sparked a passion for supporting local schools, churches, and charitable organizations. A few years later, smoking thousands of pounds of meat in a cramped garage just wasn’t cutting it anymore. Hence 4 Rivers Smokehouse was born! 4 Rivers Smokehouse now has 14 restaurants throughout the south, including a recently-opened location in Kissimmee. Oh, and the barbecue? It’s amazing! 874 W Osceola Pkwy, Kissimmee, FL 34741

Abuelo’s

Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports - Travel - Hotels4Teams

The story behind Abuelo’s began in the summer of 1989, when entrepreneurs James Young, Chuck Anderson, and Dirk Rambo opened the first Abuelo’s restaurant in Amarillo, Texas. Their goal was simple: to open a restaurant that doesn’t just serve deliciously authentic Mexican food at affordable prices, but also where guests of all ages could come together to experience the unique south of the border flavors, along with the art and culture of Mexico, in a casual and comfortable setting. Nearly 30 years later, with 39 restaurants located throughout the country, the success of Abuelo’s has, without a doubt, surpassed that original goal.

Each Abuelo’s restaurant is designed like an open-air Mexican courtyard and features a unique assortment of both modern and traditional Mexican decor. Since they use only the freshest, finest ingredients in all their dishes, the food you and your team enjoy at Abuelo’s is sure to be one of the culinary highlights of your trip to Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports. From scratch-made salsas, sauces, and sides to their hand-rolled enchiladas, traditional Tex-Mex dishes, and unique house specialties, Abuelo’s is the place to go for a true taste of Mexican cuisine. 2431 W Osceola Pkwy, Kissimmee, FL 34741

Abracadabra Ice Cream Factory

Here’s the scoop on how the Abracadabra Ice Cream Factory got its start: One day the daughter of owners John and Becky Gramley begged her parents to take her out for ice cream. She had just came home after spending the weekend at a friend’s house. While she was there, her friend’s family brought her to this ice cream shop that actually froze the ice cream right in front of you. After hearing about this, John and Becky decided to bring the whole family there to check it out for themselves. Wow! They really did freeze it in front of you and it only took a minute.

Two years later, John and Becky bought that same ice cream shop and thus Abracadabra was born. In addition to coming up with new ice cream flavors, they’ve also extended the menu beyond just ice cream and pizza. Abracadabra now offers a full menu complete with appetizers, Philly cheesesteaks, Italian hoagies, wraps, and more! Cool, right? 520 N Main St, Kissimmee, FL 34744
