Johnson Space Center

NASA’s Johnson Space Center is home to Mission Control, and the reason why Houston is referred to as Space City. Battleship Texas

Welcome aboard the Battleship Texas, permanently docked along the Houston Ship Channel. This behemoth vessel played an important role in some of the most significant naval battles of the 20th Century, and you can take a guided or self-guided tour of the ship. Wander the decks, climb 60 feet up to the Flag Bridge, and descend 20 feet below to the engine room. See where the sailors slept, get a close-up look at the ship’s guns, and visit the on-board medical facility. John P. McGovern Museum of Health & Medical Science

Known simply as the Health Museum around these parts, this attraction offers a fascinating look at health and the human body. Here, you’ll see real-life organ dissections and enjoy 30 hands-on, interactive kiosks that give you the low-down on the human body and its functions. Marvel at the 22-foot long, floor-to-ceiling backbone and ribs, and walk through a gigantic brain, a 12-foot tall beating heart, and a ginormous eyeball to see how these organs work from the inside. Play memory games, check your heart rate while running on the Giant Human Heart Wheel, and test your hanging endurance at the Jump, Stretch, and Hang Activity. Escape the Room is a brain teasing, perplexing, experience that makes for guaranteed fun. There are two locations that you can go to in Houston. The Beaches on Galveston Island

If you have time, drive an hour south down to Galveston Island, widely known for its 32 miles of beautiful Gulf beaches. Art Car Museum

For some people, automobiles are as much a blank canvas for a one-of-a-kind artistic masterpiece as they are a means of getting from point A to point B. Dubbed the “Garage Mahal” by locals, the Art Car Museum, in downtown Houston, features a small-but-mighty collection of cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and even roller skates that have been bedecked with shells, marbles, figurines, corks, trophies, lights, toys, and every other kind of shiny, colorful object you can imagine. Buffalo Bayou Park

Buffalo Bayou Park is a 124-acre public space that sits in the shadow of the Houston Skyline and offers a number of fun activities for your team.
