Thanks to a partnership between the city of Olathe and the Olathe Girls Softball Association, the Olathe Girls Softball Complex was built so local and traveling softball teams could have a reliable, high quality facility to play at. The complex’s amenities include seven lighted softball fields, a playground, picnic shelter, and batting cages. This 16 acre park knows how to run a tournament, so you can focus on planning the extracurricular activities for when your team has free time. Coming up with a fun trip itinerary shouldn’t be difficult since Olathe and the surrounding area provide plenty of things to do.

Things to Do

Main Event Entertainment

The main event attraction for your trip goes by the very accurate name Main Event Entertainment. Expect to take multiple trips to this place. It’s guaranteed that your team is going to have a blast here. First up on the activity list is bowling. Main Event’s lanes are decked out with electronic scoring systems that automatically score every frame. While you’re waiting for your turn, you can watch sports or a TV show on one of the many big screen televisions. Bowling at night is a whole different experience. Main Event turns on the black lights and the whole alley glows bright, neon colors.

Bowling and arcades go hand in hand. The one at Main Event raises the bar for arcades to the next level. Stocked with over 100 games and virtual reality experiences, it’s a gamer’s paradise. Play a gigantic Pac-Man machine, Space Invaders Frenzy, which puts a new twist on an old classic, or any of the other engaging video games. Next up is the laser tag arena. This activity lends itself to large teams, so it’s an ideal activity to get everyone involved. Run around, formulate strategies, and compete against your opponents under the black lights for the number one spot.

For the dare devils of the group, the Gravity Ropes course is the number one attraction. Using your physical strength and creativity, find out if you have what it takes to navigate through all of the obstacles standing in your way. Hindrances like a swaying bridge, balancing planks, and tight ropes are going to force you to dig deep if you hope to overcome the course. You must be at least 48 inches tall to try Gravity Ropes. Main Event Entertainment offers various packages that you can take advantage of whenever you visit. 11950 N Kansas City Rd, Olathe, KS 66061

Urban Air Adventure Park

Kids can be quite the energetic bunch. That’s certainly no secret. If your team starts to get off the rails a bit after they finish up at Olathe Girls Softball Complex, you can rely on Urban Air Adventure Park to bring them back down to Earth. Urban Air’s facility in Overland Park houses six trampoline activities, an obstacle course, and playground. APEX and The Bowl are essentially the same activity, but for different age groups. Both of them are areas with floors and walls lined of trampolines where you can bounce, flip, and catapult around as much as you want. APEX is for anyone over the age of seven while The Bowl is for kids seven and under.

The Dropzone is the spot to go when you want to practice some awesome flips with the comfort of knowing that you’ll land on a multi-chambered soft bag. Enter the Ultimate Dodgeball arena and get ready for the most intense, high energy game of dodgeball you ever have and ever will play. Two other trampoline attractions are The Runway and Slam Dunk. In addition to trampolines, Urban Air has a Warrior Obstacle Course that challenges all who attempt it. You’re going to have to dig deep to conquer the zip line, unstable bridge, and the other hurdles that are in your way. The indoor playground is a much less intense version of the obstacle course and is appropriate for younger kids. 14401 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66223
