Orlando – Things to do with your Team

Orlando is certainly the theme park capital of the world. When it comes to entertainment and fun team building activities, the options are endless! Traveling sports teams may be limited on time and/or money to spend a $100/day at a Disney World or Universal Studios. Here’s a compiled list of some fun things to do that will better fit into your trip itinerary. Is your tournament at the Orange County Convention Center or Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports? Check out our travel guides about attractions and restaurants near those facilities, or our listing of affordable hotels in Orlando.

Gatorland

Orlando - Things to do with your Team - Travel - Hotels4TeamsDubbed the Alligator Capital of the World, Orlando’s Gatorland is a theme park and wildlife preserve for thousands of alligators, crocodiles, reptiles, and birds. Gatorland offers a wide variety of sights and events, including a free-flight aviary, petting zoo, animal shows, and a look at several of the rare white alligators. Regular shows include the Gator Jumparoo Show, a chilling display of athleticism from massive alligators. Some of them can jump four or five feet out of the water and grab food from a trainer’s hand.

There is also the Gator Wrestling Show. Fans can sit in an 800-seat stadium and watch as alligator-wranglers tangle with the six to eight-foot reptiles while performing incredible and dangerous stunts with them. At dusk, the Gator Night Shine event lets guests traverse the winding walkways over and through the alligator breeding marshes with only a flashlight and some food. Amidst the sounds of splashing water from below, guests can make out the red eyes of alligators in the water for a frightening experience. 14501 S Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL 32837

The Escape Game and Escapology

The Escape Game and Escapology are similar group activities Orlando has that will inspire teamwork! A fun and exciting way to challenge the mind and build teamwork, Escape Rooms have become very popular. Recommended for ages 12 and up, The Escape Game offers challenges that require a combination of strategic thinking, puzzle solving, detective skills, leadership, tactile interaction, and even bravery. The Escape Game offers four unique rooms: The Heist a robbery game, Prison Break an escape from a prison cell, Classified an anti-terrorism mission, and Gold Rush a search for a hidden stash of gold. There is a chance that your group will be paired with other players if you don’t reach the maximum.

With almost twice the selection of Escape Room games, Escapology offers a more diverse array of choices for guests seeking some replay-ability. Unlike The Escape Game, Escapology does not require the rooms to be filled for each game. Groups can choose to play alone or with other guests at the time of booking. Escapology offers seven unique rooms: The Code an FBI anti-hacking mission, Cuban Crisis a spy mission based in part on the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, the Arizona Shootout an Old West puzzle based on Wyatt Earp, Antidote a mission to cure a deadly virus, The Budapest Express a murder mystery aboard a train, Shanghaied an escape mission onboard a Chinese ship, and Lost City a puzzle adventure in an abandoned temple. 8145 International Dr, Orlando, FL 32819; 11951 International Dr, Orlando, FL 32819
