Point Park University Baseball Field, located in Green Tree, Pennsylvania, is one of the top collegiate baseball fields in the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area. This field includes an all grass infield, with dimensions of 400 feet in the center. Point Park University Baseball Field is home to such amenities as spacious dugouts, batting cages, and bullpens. Meant to mirror a professional baseball field, the park’s layout includes grandstand seating, which features many rows of bleachers behind home plate. Surrounding the field is a walking track. The first sporting event held at Point Park University Baseball Field was the Alumni Game in September of 2010.

Measuring 10 feet, and weighing 675 pounds, the Amur tiger is the largest feline in the world.  This tiger is native to the Amur River Valley, which straddles the Russian Far East, Northern China, and Southern Asia. In the zoo, the Amur Tiger can be found in simulated woodlands and birch forests. The lifespan of these creatures can last from 16 to 22 years in captivity. Do you feel as if you are in a nature show yet? Further immerse yourself in the big cat experience by seeing the Cheetah. This big cat is native to Eastern and Southern Africa. It is two to three feet long and weighs up to 175 pounds. In this zoo, the cheetah is provided with a large space, designed to imitate his native dry, open grass-lands. Known as the fastest mammal on land, a cheetah is capable of reaching speeds of up to 60 miles an hour in three seconds!

The zoo also features one of the largest tortoise species. Classified as a giant tortoise, the Aldabra Tortoise is one of the remaining species once native to Madagascar and the Seychelles Islands. Currently, these tortoises are found on the Island of Aldabra in the Indian Ocean. Capable of living an astonishing 100 years, these tortoises can weigh between 350-550 pounds! On to something more graceful, the Flamingo is found in the African Savanna area of the zoo. During the summer months, you and your team will find the Flamingo sunning itself in the warm weather. Guests can view them inside during cooler temperatures. These animals are four to five feet tall and weigh just five to six pounds. Kennywood

The Black Widow is Kennywood’s newest ride! Riders sit in outward-facing, suspended seats which form a giant circle. When the ride begins, the giant circle swings in a pendulum motion and spins counterclockwise. As the pendulum swings, guests are happily propelled 68 miles per hour. This ride presents riders with a unique opportunity. At the top of their swing, riders achieve an astonishing height of 146 feet off the ground. Would you like to be nestled inside a bobsled like a future Olympian as it hurtles around a track? The Bayern Kurve has been a popular attraction since the 1970s. Traveling around a circular “banked track”, guests travel at a high-speed. At the car’s highest point, guests find themselves at a 45 degree angle to the ground. Kennywood asks that riders are at least 46 inches to ride. When you have finished speeding in the air and on the ground, enjoy the water attractions at Kennywood.

The Pittsburg Plunge provides guests with a wonderful and thoroughly entertaining ride, while deriving its name from history. The name of this ride is a reference to the historical spelling of, Pittsburgh. From 1890-1911 the city was spelled without an “h”. The Pittsburg Plunge features a 20 passenger boat. This boat plunges down a 50 foot drop. Kennywood asks that riders must be 36 inches to ride. In addition, riders 36-46 inches must be accompanied by an adult. Have you ever wanted to go on a white water rafting adventure? Raging Rapids is a ride designed to simulate the thrill of a white water rafting experience! While enjoying this ride, visitors will find themselves on a natural, downward slopping hillside. Kennywood asks that riders are 42-48 inches to participate in this activity.

At the end of an exhilarating day, try the food at this amusement park. Visitors will enjoy food from over 30 refreshment and snack carts. You are invited to sample Kennywood’s own, “The Potato Patch.” Enjoy fresh cut Idaho Potatoes. Designed to enhance your snacking experience, guests can choose a variety of toppings. The Altimate Air Trampoline Park is a trampoline park with over 10,000 square feet of bouncing entertainment. The Altimate Jump Bag is one of the most popular attractions at this facility. It features a platform from which guests can jump onto the jump bag! This trampoline park asks that guests are at least 44 inches in order to partake in this activity. Once you have conquered the Jump Bag, climb the Altimate Climbing Wall. This climbing wall is 25 feet high, and features a state-of-the-art auto belay system. For those who like to cross the threshold from fun into competition, the “Face of Race Wall” awaits.
