Syracuse – Things to do with your Team

Syracuse has served as a major junction in America’s history a few times since its founding.  Because of its location along the Erie Canal and railway system, Syracuse has continued to grow and evolved into an active city full of tourist friendly activities.

Most notable for its university, Syracuse University, one of the largest malls on the east coast, and the biggest domed college stadium in the country, Syracuse provides plenty of options for you and your team.

The only issue you and your team will run into when traveling there is that you won’t have enough time to check out everything that will interest you.  That means is you will have to take another trip to Syracuse at some point to explore everything else the city has to offer.

Destiny USA

Destiny USA may be a mall, but it is not your average mall.  Over 26 million guests visit the mall every year and shop in its 250 stores spanning multiple floors.

Yes, it has the big food court, and the chain stores that you expect at malls, but Destiny USA raises the bar much higher than that.  Destiny USA houses the world’s largest indoor rope park!  Canyon Climb Adventure has an awesome ropes course with 80 elements, 35 platforms, and at its highest point, reaches 70 feet.

If you have a need for speed, the mall also has a go-karting track with cars that reach up to 45 mph.  Test your driving skills at RPM Raceway on their quarter-mile track.

Destiny USA even has some mirror mazes to get lost in.  Amazing Mirror Maze puts you sense of direction to the test with their trail of mazes.

Destiny USA is a fantastic stop for you and your team to make while you spend some time in Syracuse. 9090 Destiny USA Dr, Syracuse, NY 13204

Fairmount Glen Miniature Golf

Voted “Best Mini Golf” in Syracuse time and time again by Syracuse New Times readers, Fairmount Glen Miniature Golf is a beautifully maintained golf course and garden.  Upon first glance, you won’t expect such a wonderfully landscaped garden to also be a mini golf course.

Fairmount is open from 10 a.m. to midnight, which means it’s an easy activity to fit in whenever you have a little free time.  Your team will have to divide up a bit since they only allow groupings of up to four to help alleviate wait times. 210 Onondaga Rd, Syracuse, NY 13219

5 Wits Syracuse

Inside of Destiny USA, 5 Wits Syracuse is a challenging, puzzle-filled escape room that will stump your team and make them work together if they want to overcome the obstacles.

5 Wits gives you and your team the option of four escape room themes.

Deep Space leaves you stranded on an abandoned spaceship and forces you to pilot through asteroid fields, repair the ship, and stop an evil artificial intelligence.  Can you pilot the ship back to Earth?

Drago’s Castle lets you live out your medieval fantasy of being a knight, fighting a dragon, and saving the princess.

Espionage puts you in the shoes of a spy who must break in to an enemy’s headquarters.  Watch where you step, because you don’t want to set off the laser alarm.  With your team, you must hack computers, uncover the information you were assigned to find, and escape, undetected.

Finally, Tomb, places you in an ancient Egyptian tomb.  Will you be able to solve the Pharaoh’s riddles, or will the tomb be your eternal resting place as well?
