Fort Worth Water Gardens

Less than a block away from the Fort Worth Convention Center is the Fort Worth Water Gardens. The Water Gardens is a unique urban park that has attracted visitors from all over since it opened in 1974.

The park features three distinct pools of water: the quiet, aeration, and active pool. The quiet pool is encircled by shady trees and towering walls that are covered in a thin plane of water cascading almost 90 degrees. The nearby aeration pool features 40 nozzles that spray over 850 gallons of water per minute. The pool is illuminated and located under a canopy of large oak trees, making it just as breathtaking at night as it is during the day.

As incredible as these two pools are, they aren’t the true centerpiece of the Water Gardens. That distinction belongs to the active pool. At the active pool, thousands of gallons of water cascade down a 38-foot series of steps and platforms into a vortex-like pool at the bottom. Molly the Trolley

Looking for a way to see Fort Worth in style? Just hop aboard Molly the Trolley, a vintage-style trolley that offers quick and convenient travel throughout the city’s downtown area. Molly the Trolley’s route runs from the Fort Worth Convention Center to Sundance Square, a 35-block entertainment and shopping district, every 10 to 15 minutes, seven days a week, and 365 days a year.

Sundance Square

On November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy stood on the steps of the historic Hotel Texas and gave an impromptu speech to thousands of spectators. Located outside of what was once the Hotel Texas in General Worth Square, the JFK Tribute stands as a memorial to the 35th President of the United States and his historic visit to Fort Worth.

The tribute is comprised of an 8-foot-tall bronze statue of Kennedy flanked by a 10-foot granite wall that features three large photographs and several quotes from a number of Kennedy’s historic speeches. Burnett Park
