Bullhead City, Arizona is a city located roughly 90 miles south of Las Vegas, Nevada. However, unlike the Entertainment Capital of the World, Bullhead City is not home to countless casinos, nightclubs, and other adult-oriented entertainment options. What Bullhead City and the surrounding area are home to is beautiful beaches, unique natural landmarks, and plenty of family-friendly attractions like a car museum and riverboat cruise. You definitely won’t have any difficulty finding fun things to do with your team while you’re there!

Bullhead City is also home to Rotary Park, which is likely where your team will be playing if you’re headed to the area to take part in a tournament or other kind of competition. Spanning 300 acres in the heart of Bullhead City, Rotary Park features a sports complex that includes soccer, football, and baseball fields, as well as lighted basketball courts and a skate park. In addition to its many sports facilities, Rotary Park also offers walking trails, picnic areas with barbecues, and beaches situated alongside the Colorado River. Like the city in which it’s located, there are plenty of ways for you and your team to have fun in this quaint riverfront park.

Things to Do

USS Riverside

Start your visit to Bullhead City off on the right foot by taking a cruise down the Colorado River on the USS Riverside. After dealing with the many hassles and stresses of team travel, everyone in your group will definitely appreciate getting the chance to sit back and relax upon arriving in Bullhead City. The USS Riverside departs from Don Laughlin’s Riverside Resort & Casino and offers narrated tours of the Colorado River seven days a week. These tours last approximately an hour and 20 minutes, which makes it an easy activity to squeeze into your itinerary no matter how busy it may be. 1650 S Casino Dr, Laughlin, NV 89029

Colorado River Museum

After embarking on a tour of the Colorado River aboard the USS Riverside, supplement what you’ve learned about the river and the surrounding area with a visit to the Colorado River Museum. Though smaller than most, this quaint museum is certainly not lacking in terms of fascinating things to see and interesting things to learn. The Colorado River Museum features a variety of artifacts, memorabilia, and other unique treasures intended to teach visitors about the history of the region and its inhabitants.

Even the building that houses the museum is historically significant! Built in 1947, the structure once served as the area’s first Catholic Church. Now more than 70 years later, people continue to flock there; albeit not for Sunday morning mass. 2201 Highway 68, Bullhead City, AZ 86429

Don Laughlin’s Classic Car Collection

Located on the property of the Riverside Resort & Casino, Don Laughlin’s Classic Car Collection takes visitors on a journey through automotive history. The collection is filled with more than 80 exotic, rare, and historic vehicles, some of which are owned by Don Laughlin himself.

Due to its impressive size, the entire collection is not housed in just one area. Instead, the collection is divided amongst three separate exhibits on the resort’s property. The largest exhibit of the three is located in the Classic Auto Exhibition Hall on the third floor of the resort’s south tower. This exhibit encompasses a whopping 30,000 square feet and includes a gift shop as well as a giant glass curtain wall with stunning views of the Colorado River. 500 S Casino Dr, Laughlin, NV 89029

Big Bend of the Colorado State Recreation Area

Soak up some sun while you’re in Bullhead City at the beautiful Big Bend of the Colorado State Recreation Area. Located at the southern tip of Nevada, this recreation area boasts about two miles of sandy shoreline paired with dramatic views of the river and nearby mountains. Visitors can enjoy activities like swimming, fishing, boating, and hiking on the four miles of trails that run through the recreation area. It also features an RV campground that is open year-round. Additional amenities include full-service restrooms, a two-lane boat launch ramp, and picnic areas featuring shaded tables and barbecue grills. 4220 Needles Highway, Laughlin, NV 89029

Laughlin Riverwalk

After a long day on the field at Rotary Park, you and your team can stretch your legs as you go for a leisurely stroll down the Laughlin Riverwalk. Laughlin, the town which the Riverwalk is named for and located in, is directly across the Colorado River from Bullhead City. The Riverwalk extends for three miles, tracing the Nevada shore of the Colorado River and passing by the grandiose casinos that line it. Chances are you won’t be stopping in any of these casinos to try and win big while you’re there; fortunately, the Riverwalk has more to offer than just gambling opportunities. Visitors to the Riverwalk can also enjoy views of the Colorado River and the Bullhead City skyline.

When everyone’s legs start to get tired, hop aboard one of the River Passage Water Taxis. These pontoon boat taxis run up and down the Colorado River from morning to night, all year-round. Since the taxis make stops at docks near each of the hotels and casinos that dot the Riverwalk, you and your team will be able to disembark at the most convenient location possible. One-way tickets for the taxis cost a nominal fee. Daylong passes are available as well. Casino Dr, Laughlin, NV 89029

Rotary Park - Travel - Hotels4TeamsGrapevine Canyon

Those with a knack for adventure will definitely want to check out Grapevine Canyon. Although it’s located over a half-hour drive from Rotary Park, Grapevine Canyon is a sight worth seeing while in the Bullhead City area. The canyon, which is also known as Christmas Tree Pass, is particularly notable because of the over 700 rock carvings, or petroglyphs, that can be found there. In-N-Out Burger

Those not from the West Coast may have heard people recount the mouthwatering, scrumptious burger they ordered at In-N-Out Burger. I know when friends took trips out West and came back telling me how good it was, I sure was jealous. Until I went myself. I can assure, it’s better than any other fast food type burger you’d get at any other similar establishment. The good news though if your team is competing at Rotary Park is… you can try one for yourself! There’s one nearby in Laughlin, Nevada. The menu may be smaller than what you’re used to at fast food restaurants, but what they offer is top notch: burgers, fries, and shakes. You won’t regret stopping by.

One tip, make sure to ask for your burger to be prepared animal style2085 S Casino Dr, Laughlin, NV 89029
