Atlantic City Convention Center – Dining

Attending an event at a convention center means you’re likely in store for a long day. At some point, you’re going to need to fuel up with some tasty food so you can stay at the top of your game. Lucky for you, the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey, is located near a variety of great restaurants.

If you’re hungry but short on time, don’t fret. The Walk, a Tanger Outlet mall located a short ways away from the Atlantic City Convention Center features quick-service eateries like Starbucks and Subway. They’ve also got full-service restaurants too, including an Applebee’s and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.

The Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel is another convenient place to eat for visitors attending an event at the ACCC. Like The Walk, the Sheraton is only a few minutes away from the Atlantic City Convention Center and offers options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

As you can see, there are plenty of eateries located within the vicinity of the Atlantic City Convention Center. Below you’ll find some more information about what The Walk and the Sheraton have to offer to help you plan out what places you’d like to eat at during your stay in Atlantic City.

The Walk

With over 100 stores, The Walk is a great place to stretch your legs whenever there’s a lull in the action over at the Atlantic City Convention Center. There’s an Abercrombie & Fitch, a Forever 21, an H&M, a J.Crew, an Old Navy, and many, many more. What really makes The Walk worth checking out however is the assortment of restaurants they’ve got there.

Sometimes you don’t have an hour or so of free time to spend being waited on at a full-service restaurant. If that’s the case, head to Starbucks or Subway for a quick bite to eat. Cavo Crepe Café is another fast casual restaurant located in The Walk. Although you probably haven’t heard of this one-off eatery before, don’t let that stop you from checking it out during your time at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

As you can tell from their name, crepes are the specialty at Cavo Crepe Café. They’ve got crepes of both the sweet and savory variety, including one that’s filled with freshly sliced bananas, chopped walnuts, and Nutella, and another featuring grilled chicken, fresh avocado, smoked bacon, and other mouthwatering ingredients. Couldn’t care less about crepes? Try one of their paninis or fresh salads instead.

In addition to their fast casual offerings, The Walk also features and handful of full-service restaurants for eventgoers looking to wind down the day with a nice sit-down meal. As mentioned before, these restaurants include Applebee’s and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, as well as another one you might not have heard of before: Wingcraft Kitchen & Beer Bar.

Atlantic City Convention CenterAlthough it’s only been around since 2014, this hip, laidback eatery has already amassed quite a following. Maybe it’s their inventive burger offerings like the award-winning Manhattan Project, topped with smoked Gouda, crispy fried onions, and honey BBQ steak sauce. Or maybe it’s their creative take on classic appetizers like tater tots topped with eight-hour braised short rib and flash fried pretzel bites served with cheese sauce.

It’s hard to say for sure what the secret to their success is, and that’s obviously a good thing. Whatever you decide to order, wash it down with a cold one from their impressive collection of craft beer offerings or a glass of fine wine.

Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel

Located right next door to the ACCC, the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel features over 500 guest rooms, a 24-hour fitness center, a heated indoor pool, and, oh yeah, Atlantic City’s only brewery and restaurant.

Since opening over two decades ago, Tun Tavern has been a popular watering hole among travelers in town to attend an event at the Atlantic City Convention Center. Their menu features plenty of bar food classics, including soft pretzels, wings, burgers, and more. If you’re in the mood for something on the lighter side, try one of their bright, fresh salads, which you can top with add-ons like grilled chicken, salmon, and even crab cakes.

Of course, no meal at Tun Tavern is complete without sampling some of their brewed offerings. The selection is always changing, but some beers you might find on the menu during your visit include Cira Crush, an ale packed with tropical hop flavor, and the South Pacific Hop IPA, an unfiltered New England-style IPA brewed with wheat and oats.

Despite being Atlantic City’s sole brewery and restaurant, Tun Tavern isn’t the only bar to be found inside the Sheraton. Located on the second floor is the appropriately named Shoe Bar, decorated with footwear worn by former Miss America contestants. There they serve a combination of cocktails and bottled beer, along with shareable appetizers and snacks. Big screen TVs make the Shoe Bar a great place to catch a game as you sip on your drink.

The third and final restaurant at the Sheraton is Boulevards Café. Open only for breakfast, Boulevards Café is a great place to start your day in AC. In addition to featuring a buffet and à la carte options like omelets, oatmeal, and French toast, this breakfast spot offers spectacular views of the Atlantic City skyline. It’s like sightseeing without ever having to get up from your seat!
