Las Vegas Convention Center – Dining
With a location in the heart of downtown Las Vegas and the population makeup of city itself, there is a wide range of places to dine at while you’re visiting the Las Vegas Convention Center, with cuisine sourced from around the globe.
In the way of on-site dining at the Las Vegas Convention Center, you’ll find concession stands serving everything from Tex-Mex to Indian along with other fast options like Sbarro and Starbucks that won’t leave you strapped for time when you need to get back to your event.
Outside the Las Vegas Convention Center there are a number of other dining options in the vicinity for you to choose from. These options include the neighboring Wynn Las Vegas and Venetian Resort Las Vegas, both of which feature buffets that’ll have you covered for every meal of the day.
Vegas’s cosmopolitan position means that you can easily find exotic places to eat at as well, such as Mediterranean cuisine at the Haifa Restaurant or traditional Thai favorites and Thai fusion at Arawan Thai Bistro and Dessert.
Las Vegas Convention Center
Given the size of the Las Vegas Convention Center, it should be no surprise that there’s an ample amount of concessions to choose from between the center’s north and south halls.
Individual concessions are housed in the center’s food court-style restaurants, Lucky’s and Ace’s, where you’re offered a wealth of choices, including Chinese, Tex-Mex, burgers and hot dogs, and a pay-by-the-bowl salad bar. With nearly two dozen different concession stands to choose from, you won’t be stuck waiting forever to reach the front of the line when it’s time to eat.
Apart from Lucky’s and Ace’s, the north hall also features a Sbarro and a Starbucks. If you’re somebody who wants to avoid the potential crowds or just fuel up with some caffeine, you can go one of these two familiar franchises instead.
Wynn Las Vegas and The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
Only a few blocks from the Las Vegas Convention center are several hotels, including Wynn Las Vegas and The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, both of which are stocked with many of their own on-site dining options.
When you need to fuel up with a morning meal, stop by Tableau, located at the Wynn. Tableau offers upscale brunch options, including thick slabs of bacon, Belgian waffles, and champagne mimosas. The Buffet at Wynn is on the classier side and features a massive, all-you-can-eat spread that features everything from hearty pot roast to seafood carving stations.
For an intimate, evening dinner setting, the Wynn’s La Cave has all of the essential components covered. At La Cave you’ll be seated in one of four unique environments where you can browse their lengthy wine list while enjoying inventive, modern pairing plates.
Another hotel adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center that has a bundle of great dining options is The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. This hotel features a slew of chain restaurants if you’re looking to get your Panda Express or Subway fix. TAO Asian Bistro is The Venetian’s jewel for fine dining, serving Pan-Asian fare from a five-star kitchen, including sushi and lacquered roast pork.
Arawan Thai Bistro and Dessert and Haifa Restaurant
Las Vegas is a city with one of the most thriving service industries in the world, so it’s no surprise that there’s a staggering amount of dining options located in the immediate vicinity of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Thai cooking blossoms with many flavors and aromas, and at Arawan Thai Bistro and Dessert you’ll find no better example of Thai cuisine in the downtown Vegas area. The menu at Arawan is filled with tasty options that cater to the palettes and preferences of any diner.
Start things off with their seafood soup in lime basil broth before moving on to their prawn and chicken pad Thai topped with chopped green onions and drizzled in a savory peanut sauce. If you’re after a meal with lots of spice, Ararwan’s colorful coconut milk curries can be spiced to taste. Even though the Las Vegas Convention Center is half a world away from the city of Haifa in Israel, Haifa Restaurant brings authentic Mediterranean and kosher cuisine to the table for you to enjoy.
Signature dishes of the region like babaganoush, falafel, and hummus are excellent starters as well as the matzo ball and Yemenite soups. Pita pockets are an ever-present food of Mediterranean region and at Haifa you can have yours packed with the staple fillings like falafel, shawarma, and shashlik beef. Traditional dishes from the western Mediterranean are included too, such as Moroccan-style chicken and olives with lemon.
