Red River Zoo
The leading conversation center for some of the world’s rarest cold climate species and home to 89 various animal species, Red River Zoo is a great place to spend a few hours. The 22 acre zoo lets you observe animals in their natural habitats. Check out Grey Wolves, Bald Eagles, Linne’s Two-Toed Sloths, Bactrian Camels, and more. Your team can either explore the zoo by themselves, or take a guided tour of the facility and learn more about the animals than just what is on the placards. The zoo has four different tour options to choose from: 20 minute critter close up, 1 hour guided tour, 1 and a half hour guided tour with behind the scenes, and a 30 minute training demonstration. Fargo Air Museum
Home to aircrafts of all eras, the Fargo Air Museum has a one of a kind display of aircrafts that is sure to inspire awe and captivate interest. The museum has aircrafts as current as a Global Hawk unmanned reconnaissance drone, which will wow those who have an interest in modern day aircraft technology. Fargo Air Museum also has the “most accurate recreation of a Wright Brothers’ Flyer” according to the Smithsonian Institute. They also are continually working on restorations of old planes to eventually add to their collection. Fargo Air Museum does give tours for those who want to learn even more about these amazing aircrafts. The Redhawks are not a minor league team, but instead part of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball (not affiliated with MLB). Packed with exciting things to do, Thunder Road Family Fun Park will be a hit with the team, so much so that they won’t want to leave. Hit the links and choose between three mini golf courses. Test your driving skills and race around the 1,000 foot go-kart track. Hit some baseballs in their batting cages or hit fellow teammates instead in bumper cars. If you’re looking for some inside fun, Thunder Road Family Fun Park has a 5,000 square foot laser tag arena set in a post-apocalyptic world. Do you think you’re up for the challenge? Each room has a different situation that you and your team will be placed in. Homecoming part 1, Homecoming part 2, Life or Death, and C.A.T.S. offer their own unique riddles that will stump you every step of the way. The maximum for each room ranges from 8-10 people, so your team will most likely need to more than one room. Don’t look at that as a negative. Malls are always a relaxing way to spend some time and maybe go home with a souvenir or two. If you and your team are in Fargo, visit West Acres Shopping Center for a pleasant day out. West Acres has over 120 stores to shop at with plenty of food options to choose from. An uncommon feature in malls, West Acres has a 1,000 gallon aquarium with 17 different varieties of fish. Watch as the fish swim through the large spire sculpture in the aquarium and interact with each other.
