The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo opened as a private enterprise in 1989 as Zooland Animal Park. In 1991, the Ward family created a nonprofit corporation and donated the 17 acres of prime real estate that now plays home to more than 500 exotic animals the zoo wants you and your family to get to know.

The Track Family Recreation Center
