Fresno – Things to do with your Team

The county of Fresno was founded after the California Gold Rush.  Because of the influx of people into the area, the city of Fresno grew at a rapid pace.

The city got its name from the ash trees, pronounced “fresno” in Spanish, that line the San Joaquin River.  They may not be the red woods California is famous for, but checking out the San Joaquin River and its ash trees is peaceful little trip that the team might enjoy.

While your team is in Fresno, they will have a ton of entertainment options available to them.

Fresno Chaffee Zoo

Fresno - Things to do with your Team - Travel - Hotels4TeamsOne of Fresno’s highlights, Fresno Chaffee Zoo, is a definite stop while you’re there.   The zoo is involved with conservation and is constantly looking for ways to provide the best care for its animal residents.

Fresno Chaffee Zoo has all sorts of animals that will interest everyone on your team.  Observe African elephants and lions, Malayan tigers, giant anteaters, red kangaroos, and cheetahs.

Besides notable mammals, the zoo has fish, birds, and reptiles.  For a very cheap price you can even feed leaves to giraffes!

Sponsored keeper chats about the animals living at the zoo are happening throughout the day, every day.  Bring your own food and water if you want for an even cheaper visit. 894 W Belmont Ave, Fresno, CA 93728

Chuckchansi Park

A baseball game with the team is a great bonding activity, one that has a relatively reasonable price too.  When your team is in Fresno, Chuckchansi Park will show them a good time.

Home of Fresno’s Triple-A Minor League team, the Grizzlies, Chuckchansi Park is a small, intimate stadium.  There are about 12,000 seats and all of them have a great view of the field.  The Grizzlies play the majority of their games at night, making this an excellent end of the day outing.  Ticket discounts are available for groups of 20 or over. 1800 Tulare St, Fresno, CA 93721

The Discovery Center

The Discovery Center is an interactive science and educational museum built in mind for kids.  Let your imagination run wild and explore all the center has to offer.

Learn about space shuttles or make your own viscous goop while learning about the states of matter.  Watch bearded dragons, turtles, snakes, and other reptiles in their reptile room.  Print out scavenger hunt sheets before your visit and go on a scavenger hunt throughout the Discovery Center.  A cactus garden and park are also included in the museum’s admission. 1944 N Winery Ave, Fresno, CA 93703

Bowling alleys are a lot of fun just by themselves.  Bowlero Fresno isn’t your average bowling alley, however.

Sporting 48 lanes, your team will have a lot of room to bowl.  Your team can enjoy an arcade stocked with classic and current video games.  Corn hole and pool can also be played for those who might want to take a break from bowling.  This place even has free Wi-Fi!

Bowlero Fresno’s bowling alley isn’t the only thing that goes above and beyond; their food menu steps it up as well.  Homemade pizzas, sandwiches, and other mouthwatering dishes await you once it’s time to take a break from bowling. 6450 N Blackstone Ave, Fresno, CA 93710

Method of Escape

A unique puzzle experience, filled with clues and riddles, is sure to stump your team and force them to work together if they want to succeed.

Method of Escape is Fresno’s most popular escape room facility.  Each of the three rooms has a 60-minute time limit to solve all of the clues.  Method of Escape sets itself a part by offering a head-to-head escape room challenge.

Sabotage – Black Ops puts two teams in a battle to see who can escape the fastest.  The task for this room is as follows: you are assigned to break into a Russian national defense control center and unlock the nuclear code to stop the nuclear missile launch before it’s too late.

Method of Escape’s other room, Wanted, is split between two stories.  Play as an outlaw and attempt to break out of jail before the sheriff gets back, or assume the role of a cowboy and figure out how to escape the locked saloon so you can stop a train robbery. 90 E Escalon Ave, Fresno, CA 93710
