Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum houses a rather large variety of exhibits of all sorts. Explore the vessel itself, and see artifacts and photos, hear audio clips, and learn what the lives of sailors were like on the Intrepid.

During your time on the ship, you will encounter a restored galley, the ship’s torpedo room, and other interesting sections of the ship. You’ll also find aircraft on the Intrepid’s deck that warrant some checking out.

To your surprise, you’ll even discover a space shuttle housed on the Intrepid! The shuttle, Enterprise, was the prototype space shuttle that helped NASA continue to develop and improve all subsequent space vessels. A submarine can also be found within the Intrepid, along with artifacts and a history of its service in the military.
