The Sportsplex USA Santee is only 18 miles northeast of San Diego, but your game schedule may prohibit taking your team to see the sights of the big city. If that’s the case, no worries! The Santee area is full of fun stuff to do and good places to eat. We have put together some ideas for your team’s downtime at the Sportsplex USA Santee.

Things to Do

Urban Jungle Fun Park

Located right near the Sportsplex USA Santee, the Urban Jungle Fun Park is more than just a trampoline park. It’s an indoor playground full of adrenaline pumping activities that your kids will never forget. Think of it as a super cool indoor facility where the best action-oriented attractions from amusement parks and playgrounds have been meshed together in one place.

Start your kids on the San Diego Trampoline park. Let them play on the Mega Play Structure. It’s 25 feet tall and holds up to 110 kids! Send them down the Super Slides. Encourage them to climb rocks indoors with four lanes of 24-foot rock walls. They’ll want to graduate to the Climbable Sky Scraper and Obstacle Course.

Urban Jungle attractions will create a memorable experience that could last a lifetime. Family Magazine voted it as the San Diego area’s Best Indoor Play Place in 2016. Best of all, parents can join in on the fun too! 8711 Magnolia Ave, Santee, CA 92071

Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve

Right in Santee by the Santee USA Sportsplex is the Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve. The Santee Lakes were originally engineered by the Padre Dam Municipal Water District to demonstrate the promise of water recycling.

A water and wastewater agency getting involved in the recreation business has helped the city and communities worldwide ask questions about the possibilities of converting wastewater to recreational use. Urban planners and government officials from around the globe regularly tour the Santee Lakes Recreational Preserve. The only drawback is the longer your family spends at Santee Lakes the more you’ll wish you’d rented a cabin there to begin with.

Day-use includes playground areas, volleyball courts, boat and bike rentals, fishing piers, teen center, and an amphitheater. Don’t forget the pet walk for those cooped up pets you couldn’t bear to leave home. Santee Lakes are stocked with catfish and rainbow trout with bass and bluegill also prevalent.

While you are there, you can cruise through the Preserve on a custom bicycle from Wheel Fun Rentals. Explore the park by biking around and getting some exercise. Don’t miss your chance to discover the wonders of this gorgeous park on your wheeled steed! 9310 Fanita Pkwy, Santee, CA 92071
