Sheffield Island Lighthouse
The Sheffield Island Lighthouse has been a fixture of Norwalk, Connecticut for some time now, since 1868 actually. This beacon of light served the sailors of the area for 34 years until 1902. It was then retired and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Instead of acting as a guide for boats, the Sheffield Island Lighthouse now educates visitors on its past.
