Davenport – Things to do with your Team

You’ve heard of the phrase, “put your best foot forward.”  Well, that’s exactly what the city of Davenport does.

Nicknamed Iowa’s Front Porch, Davenport is the eastern gateway to Iowa. It’s the first impression of the state that many encounter, and a good one at that. Situated along the Mississippi River, Davenport is about as east as you can travel in Iowa.

The city’s motto, “working together to serve you,” provides some insight into the kind of city Davenport is; a city that will do everything it can to make sure you and your team’s trip will be a memorable one.

Experience their unique augmented reality 3D exhibit, Air, Land, & Sea.  Interact with 3D characters and animals all over the world.  Get whisked away to a watering hole in the African plains or the frigid Antarctic.  Your own personal tour of the world, Air, Land, & Sea is like nothing you’ve ever seen at a science museum.

Besides augmented reality, encounter hands-on science displays that will awaken your curiosity.  Learn about electricity, motion, robotics, and more, all while pulling, hitting, tapping, jumping, and examining.  Become an explorer and unearth ancient Egypt or walk through the hall of mammals and see them as they are in their natural habitats.  A movie theater showing short films on weather, Africa’s wildlife, and engineering is also a great way to spend some time at The Putnam Museum & Science Center.

The Putnam Museum & Science Center offers so much to do.  Your team won’t be able to get enough of this place.  For groups of 20 or more, discounted tickets and a free movie admission are available. 1717 W 12th St, Davenport, IA 52804

The River Bandits are a Minor League Class-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, and they are good.  A lot of their players have the skills to play in the Major Leagues, and some have at one point.
