IceWorks Skating Complex – Kid-Friendly Attractions

Skaters of all skill levels, and their families, will enjoy a visit to IceWorks Skating Complex. When this venue opened in 1997, it only contained one NHL-sized rink and an Olympic-sized rink. Since then, the facility has expanded by adding two more NHL-sized rinks, a restaurant, an arcade, party rooms, and more.

IceWorks Skating Complex’s expansiveness enables it to hold figure skating training classes and host more than 180 hockey teams. These teams vary in skill levels, from elementary-aged teams to adult leagues. IceWorks Skating Complex also has its own skating club with more than 400 members.

It’s clear that this venue is capable of hosting any kind of event. But once the fun on ice is over, your time in Aston doesn’t have to be. There are numerous family-friendly activities surrounding IceWorks Skating Complex, all less than a 30-minute drive away. So when you’re not in the rink, the fun can continue.

This 4.7-acre zoo gets its name from its location along the Brandywine River. The relatively small size of the zoo makes it walkable and perfect for young kids, while still featuring plenty of animals to see.

There are approximately 150 animals that call Brandywine Zoo home, including red pandas, porcupines, foxes, and tamarins. You can tell the animals are well cared for, and that the staff works hard to create a welcoming, family-friendly environment.
