Located just over a 30-minute drive from Liberty Park, the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame and Museum pays homage to the state’s illustrious sports heritage and many iconic hometown heroes. In fact, five out of the top fifteen of ESPN’s list of the top 100 athletes of the past century are honored in the hall of fame! These legendary Alabamians include the likes of Jesse Owens, Hank Aaron, Joe Louis, Willie Mays, and Carl Lewis.
