Things to Do

Grammy Museum

Los Angeles Convention Center - Travel - Hotels4TeamsLos Angeles has been the site of many Grammy Award ceremonies over the years, so it makes sense that this city would be home to the one-of-a-kind Grammy Museum.

There your team can learn about a variety of famous singers and bands, some of which they’ve probably never heard of. The museum rotates exhibits every few months to incorporate new artists. Each exhibit presents extensive amounts of fascinating information about the musicians’ lives, careers, and legacies.

One of the exhibits that has been at the museum for a few years now, and for good reason, is the exhibit honoring the legendary singer and performer, Michael Jackson. Besides stories of Michael’s meteoric rise to superstardom, the Grammy Museum showcases a collection of relics from Michael’s life. Among all of the MJ artifacts displayed, some of the most standout ones are his iconic white suit, gloves, and fedora.

The museum also has a whole exhibit devoted to acoustic resonator guitars. Essentially the link between strictly acoustic and electric guitar, the acoustic resonator guitar was designed with the goal of creating an instrument that projects its sound clearer and louder than the average acoustic guitar did. This was in an effort to help guitar players whose instruments were being drowned out by the sound of other instruments.

There are so many more exciting exhibits to see at the Grammy Museum. Regardless of their taste in music, everyone will have a great time. Groups of 10 or more qualify for group rates. 800 W Olympic Blvd A245, Los Angeles, CA 90015
