Sun-Ray Cinema

Catch a movie at Sun-Ray Cinema. This historic theater has been in business since 1927! In the early 2000’s the building underwent a multi-million dollar renovation and the theater itself saw improvements like tiered seating, a larger, higher quality screen, and sound dampening panels. Sun-Ray Cinema may only have three movies playing during the day, but they always have one or two of the newest, hyped up releases. In addition to the cozy, independent theater vibe, you can get an actual meal there. Don’t worry, popcorn is still on the snack menu, but dishes like fried pickles, pizza, sandwiches, and chips and hummus make deciding on what to munch on during the movie a much more difficult task. Unwind for a few hours with a movie and enjoy the historic Sun-Ray Cinema when you don’t need to be the convention center. 1028 Park St, Jacksonville, FL 32204
