In May 2009, the New Mexico History Museum became the state’s newest museum. It’s located just adjacent to the state’s oldest museum, the Palace of the Governors, a National Historic Landmark that is, in a way, the New Mexico History Museum’s largest artifact. These stories are told through a variety of mediums, such as artifacts, documents, maps, films, interactive features, and hands-on workshops.

Your journey through New Mexico’s past doesn’t end once you’ve seen all that this incredible exhibit has to offer.
